Jim Clayton takes you through a shooting session that is sure to make you think about how your players are learning to shoot. He looks at several factors in a player's shot:

• Why your player struggles with his shot
• What is the player's problem within the shoot
• How to fix the player's shot
• How to be relevant and help your players correct their own mistakes

Coach Clayton describes the three ways to shoot and what factors effect each particular type of shoot. Coach introduces the term ??all speed??and teaches you how to utilize ball speed to speed up your shot mechanics and beat your defender.

You'll see a variety of drills to demonstrate how players sabotage their shot. Discover a simple movement that will reduce the potential for strips as your players go in for a lay-up or go up for a jump shot.

Clayton uses a shooting drill called the ????Drill to reinforce this critical movement in order to increase ball speed on the jump shoot. He shows you how to utilize the ????Drill to rip through on the catch and attack the glass, and how to rip through and go right into a pull up jumper.

Coach Clayton then breaks down the mechanics of stepping into your shot by demonstrating his ??1 Series??Drill. He teaches you how to get low and attack using the ??ribble line??to get by your defender. He describes how to use the first power dribble to get into shooting position and how to explode off of the last dribble into your shot. He shows why some players will hop into their shot instead of going into a 1-2 step which creates quicker ball speed.

You'll also learn his ??low Drill Series??to help your players become better, quicker shooters. He uses this competitive series to make players think about how they are shooting in order to recognize their mistakes. He demonstrates that once a player learns the correct technique they will better understand and have a feel for how and when they make a mistake.

Clayton reveals a small error players make that causes their foul shots to fall short. He follow with a warm up technique that will ??horten your shot??generating more ball speed.
