These drills feature a gold oxide surface treatment which is thinner than the more common black oxide allowing for easy identification of cobalt steel tools while maintaining performance comparable to uncoated options. Manufactured in accordance with National Aerospace Standard 97 these drills have a 135 split point that ensures self-centering and minimizes thrust. For sizes smaller than 1 16 inch a standard 118 point is used. Additionally Aircraft Extension Drills are offered in lengths of 6 inches and 12 inches catering to applications that require extended reach.< p>
